7OA plus Risto for Boeser -- is it fair value

Description

I know Ristolainen isn't the ideal defensive Dman the Canucks could use, but if he's paired with a good possession guy like Hughes or Edler I think he could help the D core overall. And trading Boeser would HAVE TO mean the Canucks extend Toffoli to replace him up front.

My question is more about the overall value of the trade; is it fair value?

That 7th overall will net a good player to the Nucks prospect pool, and they'll need more of them being able to play on ELC's in the coming seasons after Petey and Hughes get their giant paydays.

The Sabres would probably like to move one of their many RHD, and get a top line RW to play with Eichel, allowing Reinhart to shift to 2RW or fill in at 2C until Cozens is ready for the job full-time.

I mean, that's a lot to give up for Boeser. He's a great sniper and would be great with Eichel, but i think you let Petey, Boeser and Hughes along with Horvat be your core.

Benning would be all over this! He likes Risto, and has inquired about him in the past. I don't see Buffalo giving up the 7th overall pick and their top RD for Boeser, but i do like MATHEWS_COME_HOME take
