Of the contract isles need to get rid of, Cizikas is at the bottom of the list. He's actually very valuable to the team.

Ladd, Komarov, Hickey, Boychuk, Leddy, Bailey (in that order-ish) are a higher priority to offload than Cizikas. I'd give up assets just to offload a couple of those guys.

Both teams decline, Cizikas isn’t the guy leaving, he’s a 3B center and good for the Isles. We don’t need Carter Verhaegue

Both teams decline the Isles trade. The Islanders want to keep Cizikas, and Montreal can’t afford him next year.
