Like @pharrow has said in other posts. Pens will probably have a deal in place with Seattle where they take Jarry and hornqvist well before the expansion draft. That lets Pittsburgh hold Jarry throughout the 20/21 season and guarantees Seattle a young starter.

Pens would not be smart to let seattle take jarry. Just trade murray somewhere else and don't worry about it.

You can keep bjugstad, and for that remove the condition on the pick. Murray and a 2021 1st for saad is a no brainer for the hawks

Yeah and a no brainer pass for the pens lol.

As a pens fan, I think Jarry is getting a tad overrated on this site. He really only played a span of 20 ish games where he was excellent. It’s such a small sample size. I’m more open to trading Jarry than Murray because I’d rather sell high on a guy like Jarry than low on Murray. Murray is still our #1 goalie and he’ll start for us in the playoffs. If he completely blows it, then we will have a different discussion in a couple months but as of now im not for trading Murray. Once again, let’s wait and see how the playoffs roll out

lol pens fans are delusional. Barclay Goodrow got a 1st round pick, BlakeColeman got a 1st and a B level prospect. Hartman a few years ago got the hawks a 1st, 5th, and a prospect. Saad is far better than all those guys. Saad has a lot more value than you think

So because sometimes bad trades are made, that means bad trades are made all the time? Not to mention those trades were made at trade deadlines where contenders tend to overpay for a boost.

Not to mention Jarry came back down to earth since the all star game.

If saad gets traded it will be at the deadline. There is almost no chance it happens this offseason. And if it did that doesn't mean you get him for less value. Why should the hawks sell at a discount now and let some team have saad all year at a 50% discount when they can keep him till the deadline and get more value back

I don’t recall saying they should lol. And it all depends the hawks cap situation to be honest. If the hawks can hold on to him til the deadline, they should do it. But it’s also a risk cause if he gets hurt or has a terrible year, might be taking a bigger hit at the deadline too.
