IMO Beaudin needs another AHL season

If CHI can get Stutzle...yeah wow great! I don't like the Greiss signing. He's just as old as Crow. I'd rather sign Talbot or even play Ivan Nalimov. The Hawks need to get one of the (3) 25 year old backup goalies to get NHL ice time.

yeah Talbot would be a real good target. Would you sign Holtby if he was willing to sign a 1 year prove it deal?

If Crow doesn't want to sign...I'd give a 1 year deal to Hotlby, but nothing more. People forget how good Crow was last year.

I will second that. Chicago will likely have to add something to that contract to move it.

We can't afford greis, but other than that it looks good. Delia will just play in his place. Obviosuly it would be awesome if we won the lottery again and got stutzle.

no need to add. The buyout is only 680k. We would just buy him out if we had to add

That is the route they will likely need to go then. I just think it will be very hard to move a player at that cap hit as a 6/7dman with defensive liabilities and not very much offensive upside to offset that

He's more of a 4/5 defenceman and was very solid last year. He doesn't have defensive liabilities, he has skating liabilities. He's good in his own end but slow in transition. Pair him with a quicker partner and he will be fine. Maata-koekkoek was sadly the hawks best D pair last year. I think Maata has value somehwere. Someone would give up a mid/late pick for him. Maybe thats not buffalo and thats fine, but I think someone would
