I think Habs would accept this because his contract ends when we need to resign Tatar, Danaut, Gally, Petry, and KK.

I like the trade, but you should buyout Steen so we can re-sign him. I kinda doubt he waives unless that's the scenario.

Habs won’t buy him out because it would cause cap troubles they’re better off letting him walk into FA when his contract expires.
