i'd take the Eriksson deal, it's quite a steal for the Canucks. I've seen so many trades where it's a 2020 1st + demko + gadjo + eriksson for a late pick, seeing that seems quite easy to accept, IMO.

Montreal likely passes on Glendenning we just have enough 3rd and 4th line players no need to add another one

Great for Wings too. Take on a cap space for a future starter. Great move for both sides.

Hope they don’t take Rossi, don’t see to many 5’9” Centerman excel in the NHL. Would prefer Raymond, Perfetti, Drysdale, or trade back and Askarov, in that order.. I‘be also never seen any of them play so what the heck would I know

I doubt any team would be willing to take on that big of a cap dump, but that's a no brainer for the Canucks if Markstrom re-signs (which seems fairly likely).

Sutter could still be seen as a positive addition for some teams, especially since he's on an expiring deal. Baertschi is dead cap but not a lot. Eriksson is the big one.

Sutter and Baertschi are expiring and sent to AHL for buried cap hit. Doesn't effect them at all.

Marco Rossi or Cole Perfetti are the guys. Wings have Wingers quite ironically and could really use C's to play behind Larkin.

Baertschi makes sense. Sutter has a good chance of cracking the lineup.

If Eriksson is in the NHL then Sutter is too.

Nielsen is almost done imo. Could beat him out.

Eriksson (6M x 2 yrs) + Sutter (4.38M x 1 yr) + Baertschi (2.29M x 1 yr) for only Demko, Wings decline. The STL deal I could get behind but the Vancouver one is pretty bad unless you remove Eriksson.

Rossi most likely plays wing in the NHL.

Really? I put Eriksson + Demko to Ottawa and someone told me Demko is untouchable.

How might insight do you have on Perfetti? Personally I see him as the 7th best prospect in the draft after Rossi, Drysdale and Raymond.

I'm open to changing my mind. Just havent heard as many good things about Perfetti as those other 3.

Horrible dead for Detroit. Demko is unproven and it would take a 1st rounder + for this to make sense

Wings have prospects that need playing time more than some washed up vets

Interesting. To me, unless Demko really steps it up and shows some great improvement in 2020-2021, trading him to move cap is not completely out of the question. He's been quite underwhelming performance-wise, but the potential is still there. Moving 13M to sign Petey and Quinn long term would be ideal, and I think Benning would jump at the chance.

Depends on what youre sending back.. I think Louie and the Canucks go the way of contract termination like Kovalchuk with LA and Bogosian in Buffalo after his gets his next bonus payment in the offseason.

Id do Demko Sutter Baertschi at the draft for Pickard and a 2nd rounder. Both Sutter and Baertschi easily make this team better and are on 1 year deals.

You literally don't have to play any of them. Send down Sutter and Baertschi until their deals expire, use Eriksson as a 14th forward and Sutter and Baertschi are expiring too.

Red Wings have no obligation to be sending picks in this deal. I added SB and BS to help VAN cap situation even more. You can keep them for a 3-player swap of Eriksson and Demko for Pickard
