Not sure how much Laf is worth to the devils, so for the sake of being kind, ill call that one even.

But:
Bear isnt worth as much a risto alone, so you certainly arent getting a 2nd rounder also (maybe oilers throw in a 2nd of their own)
Nurse isnt worth Drouin alone (again maybe Nurse and a 2nd for Drouin works)
Benning isnt worth more than a 5th (lol a 3rd hahaha)

Respectfully disagree Drouin being worth more than nurse. Drouin has only one 20 goal season back with Tampa... Nurse would instantly be top pairing in Montreal.
Bear for risto I most certainly believe bear holds a lot more value an early second seems very fair.

Risto is one of the worst defensive dmen in the league. I wouldn’t even do Bear straight up.

Bear vs risto I agree with you. Normal circumstances zero chance consider it but our future top four in my eyes right now klef Larsson Jones and bouch. Expansion draft 7f 3D will protect all of them only exposing risto no big deal there. 7 forwards is the entire top six plus I’d lean towards benson. If they take one of Kassain or AA no big deal have prospects on ELC coming in to replace.

Most of this is with expansion draft in mind.

I think I accepted lesser value in nearly all those trades. Fairly close but in my eyes favours other teams more that being said I’d be very happy if able to add those prospects to system and come out with a group of forwards that can skate like each of those lines

I don’t disagree with trading Lafreniere but that is not a good reason to do it. And if we do, you do not do it for a guy in Quinn who may slide out of the top 10 and a Russian goalie that may or may not turn out or play in the NHL.

I disagree with your top 4 future D men, I don’t think that Larsson is in that mix.

What’s the logic behind trading Bear out of curiosity?

Larsson and Nuge are UFA before the draft no need to sign them before and protect them. I also don’t think Benson needs to be protected

drouin is overrated.

larsson is gonna leave given that edmonton has no cap to sign him. He will look for a deal the gives im around 5-6 mil per year so it's better to protect bear over him

I doubt Larsson will command over 5 I think it will be a modest increase to 4.5-5.

So you would trade the 1st pick (laf) who would be the perfect winger for mcdavid and have probably the best top 6 in the league and also trade bear probably edms best dman for a player who can’t play d at all..?

That’s where we see things slightly different I like larsson and want him long term he’s the only one that’s really physical. I love bear but lean towards Larsson more. It just comes down to those two which to keep I respect and understand your stance towards bear being the keeper.

If you want to resign Larsson then that’s great but why not wait till after the expansion draft to do it so you don’t have to protect him? I would suggest having a hand shake deal in place with both him. and Nuge to sign right after the draft.
