You gotta add like Jankowski to that Leafs trade. Kapanen is a lot better than Bennett. The 2nd doesnt cover the difference

What? FIrst of all Monahan has 3 30 goals seasons under his belt, he isn't a bonifide "20 goal scorer" he is a proven 30 goal scorer. With that being said, Cozens is the best prospect in the NHL (see the Athletic article about him if you want). Not saying the value for Monahan is unfair but no way I trade such an exciting prospect for Monahan. Gaudreau is not worth Cozens and a 1st, one or the other. He only has 2 years left and isn't what Buffalo needs

Cue Sabre fans not wanting to trade a magic bean for the sure thing, and in this case it's a sure thing that they actually really need.

I get it, Cozens is an amazing prospect. So were a lot of prospects until they weren't, and you'd think Sabre fans would know that better than anyone with the way things have shaken out with guys like Nylander and Mittelstadt etc.

Also, Flames aren't doing this unless they rebuild, and I doubt they rebuild.

Bennett, Jankowski & a 2nd for Johnsson & Kerfoot? They need Kapanen to get a defenseman.
