Not if we win a playoff/play in round or two and when it comes to money not a lot of teams can afford him and free agent market money wise will be down

I would move Raanta long before Stepan.
I would also probably let Hall walk and go all in on Hoffman instead, he will be cheaper and still provide a lot of offensive pressure.
Vatanen is a RD not a LD, he's also not strong defensively so he won't fit Zona's system well. Don't trade Goli then replace him with Vats.
Flames trade is interesting but they aren't looking for a bottom 4 RD rental, a swap of Janko and Fischer makes a lot more sense for both teams needs. Also Jankowski has a QO of 1.75M (you can always not qualify him and he just becomes a UFA though).
I doubt Soderstrom is ready, give him more time in the minors with some NHL games, don't gut the D-core just for Hall

I think Step is gone because of his cap hit and Hayton coming up , Raanta could definitely be gone as well , I like the Fischer for Jankowski suggestion , with hall i think the yotes need to try and re sign him but Hoffman isn't a bad replacement and Chayka has tried to get him in the past , will be interesting how chayka handles the offseason

the penguins don't really have cap space to take on another 5 million forward. They will move Jugs this year for cap relief not for trade pieces.

Disagree about Stepan, he is very important to the Yotes defensive shell, especially if Richardson is gone. Schmaltz has always been way more of a winger than a center so keeping that center depth is important.
I would run lines like this
Schmaltz - Dvorak - Hall/Hoffman
Keller - Stepan - Kessel
xxx - Hayton - Garland
xxx - Jankowski - Hinostroza

OEL - Lyubushkin
Chychrun - Hjalmarsson
Goligoski - Demers

Kuemper
Hill

One of the xxx's will be Crouse
Cap is probably pretty close but I'm not doing the math rn

Seems about right , bush on the top defensive pairing is interesting but playing with a healthy OEL can up his play that already improved this past season

Stop dumping Grabner on Dallas. We already have one of those (Cogliano)
