Description

Isles: Wild offer SOME cap relief to the Isles and take a risk on Ho-Sang

Devils: Belpido follows another Wild draft disappointment and goes to Jersey, gives them someone to be on third pairing, in exchange gets THEIR draft disappointment

Blues: Wild get a better goalie than the ones they have, Blues get a LOT of cap space freed up

1-2 of these trades would probably be what I make I'm having fun with this

In answer to your title. Because you will be over the cap unless you sign Koivu and Galchenyuk for significantly under their current cap hit. (And debatably the 21/22 offseason would be hellishly difficult for you.)

Goalies historically don't get very much in trades. A 7th is highway robbery but I'd be shocked if he got anything more than a 3rd or 4th unless some of his cap is retained.
