Tbh i don't mind this value... this would be along the lines of what VAN would want. I'd definitely prefer a 1 for 1 for a better quality defenseman...

in all, I really think the boeser rumors are false and are just the current CF craze. Nothing will actually happen.

Canucks say yes. Not easy giving up Boeser.
Eriksson isn’t washed up he’s just not the scorer he was.
If NJ can absorb the cap this an ok deal for them.

Ottawa is not in need of a bottom 6 LW, nor does it make sense for a rebuilding team to give up a 2020 3rd round pick to acquire a 4th round pick from 2013 who's stats have been declining every year.

That’s pretty nitpicky...

A 3rd is squat to get an NHLer vs a hopeful maybe. If the Sens prospect pool & high picks they already have are not enough then there is nothing to say other than 10yr rebuild. Sens don’t any need vets at all I guess. After all 11 picks isn’t enough.

Yes, teams should be picky about who they take on and what it costs them to do it. If Wood were a better player OR had a single year left on his deal, or was costing a 5th rounder - MAYBE. But just to prove I'm not being picky for the sake of being picky.... in regards to vets; Tierney, Connor Brown, Anisimov, Duclair, and Bobby Ryan have played more games and have a higher points per game avg than Wood. OTT could also take a winger with ONE YEAR left on his deal that a team is looking to dump to clear cap space - and probably ACQUIRE a pick in the deal instead of giving one up. There'll also be UFA options available that OTT could sign for a SINGLE YEAR. Not superstars, I know that, but vets who've been around, play the right way and can do some coaching on the bench between shifts for our younger guys. A guy like Brassard, or Ennis who was a great fit for us this season. There are just too many better options for Ottawa.
