I agree, but in a flat cap world if you wanna keep your young core King Hank is the odd man out.

This way y'all don't have to buy him out, and you still have a 1st

Let's say he killed it in training camp. TBH, if the kid's rehab went as well as everyone's saying he might be a beast.

If the cap was $84M+, sure. But it's not, and taking on $5.5M in today's world will cost a 1st. There is precedent.

The hawks have so many tweener players, Suomela just adds to the list. They rather keep the 4th. San Jose should be looking to keep these players, as their bottom 6 isn't pretty.

Probably true, but the dude has spent the entire season putting on muscle, so he might surprise us.

Sumo's on the trade rumors list, so I just picked a team.

I get it. I still think they should keep him, they need depth badly.

I don’t think Lundqvist has negative trade value because he only have 1 year left on his contract

Do you mean Roy/Meloche,/a 2020 4th, for Bracco/Petan/a 2020 3rd?
Y'all don't have a 3rd this year or next.

The Rangers 1st to get rid of Lundqvist? Lay off the pipe mate. We'll take your 2nd for Georgiev or Strome though. Maybe with a larger + after seeing this "offer"

1st: let's assume he accept to waive
2nd: let's wee which teams need an upgrade in net, say you guys and MIN...

Jones' GSAA:-15,49
Jones's GSAx:-8,50

Hank's numbers in both categories:
GSAA:-3,79... much better
GSAx:4,12

Hank wins, and he only has one year left and he is a proven performer when it counts

Stalock's numbers:
GSAA:-0,82
GSAx:-16,64
Hank wins big time

Dubnyk's numbers:
GSAA:-15,45
GSAx:-27,49
Hank shatters him

He doesn't have negative value so you're wrong

Ok so moving a guy who still has very decent numbers costs, say Dawson Mercer in a flat cap world? Yeah not happening

He's totally serviceable, but we have a few similar pieces, so we should get value for him while we can and offer him the opportunity to shine on another team in need of inexpensive depth.

Are you assuming your guys are going to lose in the Play-Ins? TBH, I don't think they are.

And yes... You have how many valuable players that need to be re-signed??
