That trade with the sabres doesn't get you the 8th overall pick. Really not even consideration to move it.

Buchnevich isnt worth a late 1st let alone 8OA. Sabres also dont need more wingers they need a 2C

Considering he’s a top 6 forward who has legit only gotten better every year and will have a cheaper contract he gets u a first maybe I was overreaching with 8oa but 100% gets a first

Imo they don’t laf is an all around player.. can hit, pass and score just don’t see us trading down that talent even if it means us getting byfield plus another great peace. I feel like the rangers are content to keep strome and Panarin together granted strome keeps playing well with him. Worse case Scenario is strome doesn’t continue playing as a 2c and we trade him, chytil moves us and we have guys like Henrickson (potential to be a 2C) or Barron takes over 3C
