I feel like if we took a bit more salary back in the pulock trade, they would consider it. As of right now the don’t really get the cap relief but I would pull the trigger on this trade without hesitation from the jets point of things

I've been saying no a lot to Pulock trades, but hard to say no to that.

Uhhh what am I missing here? Last three seasons 31, 34, 38 (would have been 40+) goals. 23 years old and still getting better. Pulock is good, but not that good.

Figured Pulock would be getting around Connor money anyway so with that they get that scoring winger they been in desperate need for.

No he’s probably 6m long term. Also, I think Connor has more value than pulock....

I agree with this, I think that Connor will be 35+ goals a season player. But you have to consider that with laff one of Laine/Connor is expendable. Connor would be the one to get moved imo and it’s probably for a top 4 RHD which is what we’re getting here.

Pulock is a 1RD and Connor is one of, if not the worst defensive forward in the game

Not great defensively but yes can score a lot of goals it’s a win win it’s get a #1 rd and isles get a scoring winger they’ve been in need for

Yeah I mean fair enough, he’s a top 4 RHD, there’s a premium for them so you’re probably right. I think the deal is good, even 1 for 1 likely makes sense. I like this thread.

As much as I love Connor and man can he put up points but he’s still a limited winger. If we can get a top line defender, or 2C, then it’s something we need to explore. It helps we have Ehlers, Laine and Wheels as well to help soften the blow.
