Tampa might accept, If Sanderson is still on the board. But fat chance i see Brisebois trading Sergachev to the team who traded him.

why not? hockey is a business, what does it matter where the player came from in order to trade him back there?

Josh Brook is a pretty good RHD prospect tho and Lehkonen is a good young middle 6F, plus a 2nd in a deep draft

Because Sergachev was pissed of about being dealt in the first place, He loves Tampa now and doesn't want to leave. Doubt he'd be happy going back to the team that dealt him.

yes. but I can think they can get more for him. His cap hit is favourable and he just scored 30+ goals 3 and 4 seasons ago. He should get a better return than the Habs would get for Domi. 2 more years at 3.8m per year for a guy who can score goals. Many contenders would probably like him a lot

Where are you getting that he was pissed? He liked MTL but he had only been there for a rookie/training camp, not like he played any real games for them or made a huge charity contribution or something. Add the fact that he was 19 when getting traded and has probably matured since then to realize that its a business and teams do hats best for them, not the player. Dont think he would have any problem going back to the team that drafted him and had a good relationship with him while he was there.

Maybe because there were several interviews he did saying that he was unhappy with the trade, Take it anyway you like being unhappy or being miffed.

What are you talking about? Your hatred against Montreal completely falsified your judgement. Players don’t want to come to Montreal, players doesnt want to waive their trade clause for Montreal, a guy who have been drafted and who was never really a part of Montreal who probably have absolutely no hard feeling about that trade since he had a chance to play right away in tampa bay is in your opinion holding grudge for a absolutely ridiculous reason. David Perron return to St louis not twice but 3 time. Kris Verstees did the same with Chicago. You don’t even know if the players really have any hard feeling and since you haven’t spoke with the kids about that abstain yourslef of speaking for himself. Of course he like it in Tampa bit that doesnt mean he don’t like any other city.

Sergachev won’t end up in Montreal for the only reason that tampa won’t move him. That have nothing to do with your poor explanation. Everyone around here knownabout your hatred about Montreal that why you make such comment but the reality is that you don’t know if Sergachev have anything against Montreal

he said he was upset for like 5 minutes about the trade but understood it and thats it a business. He was upset for bit because he liked MTL, thats probably more of a good sign he would be willing to go back there, its somewhere he is comfortable with and enjoyed his time.

Plus what a horrible fate MTL sent him to, sunny beaches, beautiful woman, and a winning team.......Id be pissed a team made me start my career there to

Change Lehkonen with a higher upside forward and I'd be alright with it. Ducks have a ton of those mid 6 guys, all Lehkonen does is take ice time away from someone younger who could use the experience in a re-tooling year.

the thing is Sergachev doesn't have a NTC/NMC so he doesn't have control on where he would want to get traded and just like @Subbanator7667 said, hockey is a business so I don't think Julien Brisebois is going to ask where Sergachev would want to be shipped off just like he would with guys like Johnson, Palat or Killorn.

Although I could be wrong though if you're the Adrian Wojnarowski or Bob McKenzie of the Tampa Bay Lightning

come of think of it. HHOFers Peter Forsberg (Lindros trad) and JVR also went back to the teams that shipped them too early. heck even Stan Bowman "repatriated" Brandon Saad. I'm not saying it's was a good decision to bring back Saad to Windy City but anything can happen in the sport business.
Anyway, he reminds me of some of the reporters on ESPN who claim to have inside source about the NBA players (e.g. Jalen Rose claiming that there's 99% chance of Kawhi resigning with the Raptors)

Exactly. The only one who know is Sergachev. And even if he wouldn’t want to be back Brisebois can ship him where he want to. I doubt that if a couple team would be in the mix and Montreal have the best offer on the table he will ask for Sergachev where he would like to be send, he will take the best offer and Sergachev will leave with it
