Not a bad roster at all, nice job.

Some comments on the roster:

- Calvert is a full-time part of the 4th line and won't be bumped out of the lineup. If anyone would be it would be Bellemare or Kaut.
- 5 years seems a year too much for Burakovsky. $4.85m x 4 years is probably the sweetspot.
- The blueline is a bit green, so I think we'd keep Cole around as 7D instead of Lindholm, particularly as there's enough capspace to keep him.

Regarding trades:

- Zadorov trade is good, right on the value but I would prefer a 2020 2nd if possible.
- Jost's value is probably a bit higher than a very late 2nd and a 2021 4th. If the 2nd was the MTL 2nd or CHI 2nd (which Montreal also have) then it would be acceptable.
- The Rakell trade is good, I think Colorado accept that, even if it's painful to lose Bowers and a 1st in a deep draft. Rakell would be a great fit on this team, and acquiring him without giving up one of our top 3-4 prospects would be great. If we traded Bowers for Rakell though I think we'd be inclined to keep Jost as we'd otherwise be really thin in terms of bottom 6 C depth.

Cool! I don’t think teams would pay more than this for Jost though

I actually think right now thats too much for jost. You can get a similar to better quality player right now with the 2nd rounder. Im not sold he isnt anything more than a fringe 3rd liner.

this team would be scary offensively if they got rakell.

Yeah he had like 8 goals? I wouldn’t give a 2nd for Jost unless I’m a contender who could use his depth and have late 2nd..

9 but he also isnt even making the top 12 in the restart for the playoffs. Right now hes a healthy scratch which kills his value.

You all know how much I love the Ducks but that just feels like a little too much for Rakell. If we're getting the Colorado first I'd be happy with two guys off the Reserve List: Beaucage and Drew Helleson.

Done. The only thing I would change is that if they traded for Rackell they aren’t signing Namestikov too.

I guess 2021 picks make more sense in that case.

Another alternative would be to swap 2020 1sts. What do you feel about this:

2020 VAN 1st (#20)?
2021 NJ 3rd

for

2020 COL 1st

Rakell would be a good fit.
Lines look good except I think you’d see Bellemare as 4C and Kaut develops in the AHL one more year

Avs fans don’t make sense to me. Jost has been so average yet they think he’s worth a 2nd and a 3rd. Like seriously wtf. Jeff Skinner and Gustav Nyquist got that package and that’s a 40 goal scorer and a 50+ point player. Jost can’t even get in the damn lineup.
