With being signed to a top 5 contract.

What do you expect from Marner?

Hes not as thick legged as Nick Robertson
Not feisty as Marchand or St louis

Theres smaller players that have fight in them while Marner tries to be friendly and avoid hits.

What are your expectations for his growth? cuz i dont see any fight in him personality wise.

His salary says hes clioser to Matthews than he is to Nylander.

I always thought he was closer to Nylander, less skill but more try hard skating wise. thats all skating..

For that contract I would expect other players to be described as 'a lesser Mitch Marner' or 'Mitch Marner Lite'

Why you consider him smaller player? He is 6 feet tall LOL Same height as MacKenzie Weegar LOL

As for expectations.. he is pretty much hitting every single expectation. Offensive monster who creates a lot of plays and is really good defensively. Top-10 right winger in the league to be honest..

he got overpaid by a mill. Other than that he is fine. He is a playmaker plain and simple, he is young and given time will continue to get better and better. He can get 100points when healthy and im good with him. Also he can play on the pp and top pk unit so that adds to his value. In general marner is not a goal scorer, he is a playmaker and there arent many of those in the league so keeping him despite that contract is fine for the future.

Exactly. Too many people look at small samples and say "OH HELLZ YES! MARNER IS THE GOAT!" when he does well over a 5 game span, and then "MARNER IS A BUST!" when he doesn't produce over a similar span. I'll agree with the top 10 right winger. (In some order: Kuch, Tarasenko, Kane, Rantanen, Pasta, Marner, Laine, Stone, Svech-depending on what side he's playing, and then whoever you want for 10th)
