Description
In this situation, strome gets traded again with Barrett being the extra piece to make it work. Then, we trade oust 1st and Pittsburgh’s now-higher 2nd to move up 5-6 spots for Florida’s pick. As such, the hawks would pick at 8 and between 10-12. At this point, if anyone would wanna speculate, we could get any combination of perfetti, holtz, askarov, Quinn, Sanderson, lundell, and maybe through in jervis (although he may slip). In my opinion, I’d go with either holtz or lundell at 8 (cuz I think perfetti is gonna before that). Then at 10-12, it’s hard for to ignore the need for a goalie, but if Quinn is still available, that may be too tempting to pass on. Let me know what you all think of the picks and trades.

I get most see granlund as a winger, but we’ve seen the hawks turn wingers into makeshift centers before.

I don’t know, a lot of buffalo fans keep saying they’d trade that pick for immediate help.

Interesting move putting Dach on the third line after the playoffs he's been having.

Dylan Strome isn't worth that pick. They'll keep it unless an established 2C is on the market like Hertl.

It’s like I said in the other thread, if he learns to shoot more, take his chances, and win those faceoffs consistently, I’ll absolutely do that. He’s got another series to work on that. But he missed three golden goal scoring opportunities yesterday. It’s a coachable thing and it’ll come, but at present, I don’t want him on the 2nd “scoring” line till he can score goals. I may never like him, but I’m certainly not rooting against his development.

Well, it was either strome + Barrett or strome + beaudin. Problem is I love beaudin.

Unless they really have their eyes on someone, I don't see Stan moving up.

So the consensus is that strome isn’t worth the pick, which I respect and to an extent agree with. I’m not a big strome fan honestly. The biggest value I have on him in this trade is that the Sabres need to start winning now for eichel and strome at least provides scoring with the right wingers.

Hard for to disagree with you there. My questions this offseason is whether or not strome gets traded and for what. Cuz depending on that, it could tell a lot about who we go after in the draft.

I get it. With with Bozak available for a mid round pick or getting Haula for nothing is better than overpaying for Strome by trading the 8OA.

Ya know what, facts my friend. I like Haula but I question his center ability and his scoring prowess. Still, I’d take him for free.

I say he gets traded, but certainly not for a lottery pick. A late first or a couple 2nds and a prospect

That offer doesn’t get you 8th overall alone, never mind the additional 4th. In addition to Strome you’ll have to give Buffalo something else they need. Chicago just doesn’t have the NHL ready assets to make that deal work Since you’re not giving up any of your other talent.
