This trade does not make sense for Buffalo. They don’t need another prospect goaltender, or to overpay for Anderson. At this point if offered a second round pick for him Columbus should take it.

Drafting another player is not going to help buffalo. They need immediate help. They need toughness, they need scoring, or jack eichel is gone next summer.

Desperate for success so we trade for a guy who just had 4 points in 26 games lmao.

Would Anderson + Nutivaara + The pick + a 2nd make more sense? Buffalo needs immediate help.

While playing through an injury. He had 30 goals the season prior. GMs are not going to base his value off of this season alone.

I believe it’s been said before, but Jack does not have a choice. He has a multi year contract and the Sabres do not have to trade him regardless of what he says. If he is unhappy it’s not ideal, but until a team gives them a trade offer too good not to accept it, they don’t have to do a damn thing.

People are dumping Anderson for a 2nd. Even if that werent the case, he isnt worth the difference of 8 and 21. Your explanation doesnt make much sense either, the Sabres arent a Josh Anderson away from turning the team around

you can keep saying Buffalo needs immediate help but that doesnt make it more true. The Sabres need a 2C above all else, nothing CBJ is offering addresses Buffalos needs. I want Anderson, but hes not getting you 8 overall

Listen, the team is desperate for help. They need to do something. Last year Josh Anderson looked like an elite top 6 winger. He will stand up for the young guys coming in and give buffalo some toughness outside of eichel. Kekalainen is not giving up a 2nd rounder for Anderson, I can tell you that right now.

I would be surprised if the Sabres are not looking to make a big splash before the next season starts. What they need is a #2 center and RW, and a LD. They desperately need to get better at face-offs, which would do a lot to improve the power-play and penalty kill. A lot of these needs can be addressed internally, or through free agency. Anderson could be a top 6 RW, but he has little leverage as an RFA after the year he had. Buffalo does not give up its first round pick for anything less than Dubois, who you’re not trading.

If you’re not going to take what teams are offering you’re not going to trade him. It’s a buyers market, especially with 2/3 of the league in cap hell. You’re selling low on Anderson, you’re not getting that much back.

We can find that without spending the 8oa.
And it doesn't make sense to load up to maybe make the playoffs and have no reinforcements behind it. It would be foolish to trade this pick for anything outside of a bonafide 2c
