If you want the first overall pick, you cannot specify guys that cannot be included. That just won't work. You probably need one of them, plus your own 1st round pick, plus at least one more piece.

No chance of getting Fox without someone like Suzuki coming back and even then I don’t see us moving him at all (already our best young defenseman)

Fox forced his way to NY. Fox then played great. Fox isn’t getting traded especially if part of the deal doesn’t include Kotkaniemi or Suzuki. And the narrative that Domi is an effective top 6 C is at best tired. Dude is a winger.

not sure there is anything on the habs that would be worth fox. maybe suzuki + romanov but romanov is unproven and it would be a huge gamble for nyr
