From what I watch last night, I don't think that'll fix the problems. They obviously need a new coach with a more offensive style. But there needs to be a culture change. That involves the players.

This is a good first step. Gets younger. Adds another first round pick. If the Rangers are willing to stick a first rounder to Hank maybe do that in stead of Dobby. Plenty of cap space to grab a bad contract or two for picks. Your fire sale isn’t gonna happen. And it’s the wrong type of rebuild anyways imo. I absolutely agree that we need a new coach and prolly a new GM. Nobody is touching Benn’s contract. Even with Hintz attached like you proposed. You start here, move the UFAs at the deadline for picks. Draft and develop. Maybe find a GM with the balls to drop an offer sheet on some of these teams up against the cap

If I was GM of the Leafs, you have a deal.

I think it’s pretty fair considering the remaining term for Klinger. Helps both teams

I'd take the Canes deal. The last 2 years of his contract would stink but, if we take Askarov is there at 13 the money would balance out by then.

Just had a thought. Would you do a Nino for Pavelski swap?

I’ve mentioned that a few times. I would. Not sure if Pavs would waive but if I’m him I see a better chance at winning with them

I would take that Leafs deal from a Toronto perspective.

Pretty good stuff here. I agree with all of this. The only thing is that Benn is now really a third liner that can play on the PP. Is Dzingel able to play on the 2nd line?

Im sure you could swap them if you wanted. I just put lines together based on what I think would be a good mix of skill types
