Honestly I'd make Montreal pay more than any other team considering how marketable he would for them

LOL

Laffy starts with your pick, Romanov and KK. We'll throw in an interesting asset if you want

I wouldn't trade Laffy for anything that doesn't include Byfield ++ coming back.

New York easily declines.

Pieces like Romanov, Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Caufield, Peohling & your 1st rounder(s) would have to be involved for NYR to even consider. Obviously not ALL of them are needed to make it work, but atleast a couple would be required

Do you think we’d look into moving Kreids?

The Rangers have 3 good options depending on the preferences of the 2 teams picking after them.

a) If the Kings want Stutzle at 2 (it means they really want Laff) and are willing to deal a haul (1 of Vilardi/Kaliyev/Madden/Fagemo AND a 2020 2nd or 2) then you move down to 2 and take Byfield and net the haul from the Kings and hold Kreider.
b) If the Kings want Stutzle at 2 AND Ottawa is willing to deal 3 and 5 to get Laff, you move down to 3 and 5 and take Byfield and one of Raymond/Rossi at 5 and hold Kreider.
c) If the Kings want Byfield at 2. You hold onto the #1 pick, Take Laff and deal Kreider for a similar deal as was available at the deadline (1st + Jost +)

Moving Kreids would make signing UFAs in the future more difficult don’t you think?
