Why is Little on the LTIR? He's not injured and he can't be on there if he's healthy, if Jets need capspace that badly he needs to go. (Edit nevermind)

Really? Pionk had 45 points and makes 3 million. that's a sweet deal right now and you trade him for a 4th liner? Jets don't need any more bottom 6 guys...what they need is right shot dmen. I would love Pieterangelo, but that's a pipe dream

Sorry man but I do not agree with this. Do NOT sign Pietrangelo. First of all, he won't be signing a 5 years deal and even if he does hit Free Agency his landing spot won't be Winnipeg. Re-sign DeMelo, I like the Edmundson singing and have been doing the same. He brings a lot of what Winnipeg lacks. Also, Pionk has been amazing. His value is much higher than what you proposed. There is absolutely no reason to be trading him, he's been such a good fit in Winnipeg. I do think Heniola & Samberg will push for a roster spot along with Niku. One of those 3 will be taking the 6th spot. Copp also has been tried at 2C and hasn't worked out very well in the past. I love him but would rather try a guy like Haula for example.

Not that I think this is enough for Pionk but I disagree about the need for bottom 6 players, the Jets need almost a total overhaul of its bottom 6 cause what they've been rolling out is pretty bad and I don't just mean it's AHL caliber 4th line, Heinen looks like he'd be an improvement over most of the Jets current 3rd liners.

Totally agree about Pietrangelo, thinking he's signing in Winnipeg is a total pipe dream that frankly needs to end cause it's not happening.

The Jets can't afford AP long term as niceas he would be and trading a top 4D for a 4th line winger is a terrible idea. I don't see the Jets considering this one.

Heinen is by no means a fourth liner, but if you prefer, we'd trade you Max Jones or Maxime Comtois instead.

That's okay. The point is we can't throw away top 4D for low end wingers that are easy you find. It was just a bad idea by the OP.

I guess I meant more that the jets don't need bottom 6, they need top 6 as in a 2C. If you are trading Pionk it should be in a package for a 2C.
I don't think the bottom 6 needs a complete overhaul. Copp, Harkins, Appleton are all deserving of ice time. I would like to see a veteran C added on the cheap and maybe give Veslainen a shot

Gotcha, really wonder if there's a 2C trade out there though and who's trading a 2C for Pionk as the main part of the package?
Harkins looks decent, not that I care about the playins but Maurice really effed up by not playing him higher in the lineup, he was one of their better players.
Copp is fine as a 3C but he's kind of useless as a LW imo and shouldn't see top 6 work unless you're tanking.. Lol.. I like Appleton but he's a 4th liner, he looks decent but still hasn't put much up, need some contributions on the scoresheet from the 4th line occasionally.
Roslovic is there as well and he looked pretty good at times this season, really I thought he looked better playing center then wing but Maurice just wouldn't leave it alone and shuffled him to the wing.
I think Vesalainen is a bust but I hope not, he's at least big though idk if he really uses his size all that much.
Those guys too though I just don't know if they're built for playoff hockey, yeah a couple of them can work but all of them I just don't know if it'd work.

A veteran center of what caliber, 2,3 or 4C type?
