Description
A bit more could be added coming from the Penguins side in the Lowry trade, but given him and Bjugstad both have one year left and Winnipeg values size could be a good swap to let both test the waters before either player hits free agency.

Johnson gives you a player with term you can dangle in front of Seattle for their expansion Team and Murray has more value in him to your team as a franchise goalie. A late second really isnt asking all that much.

We have no issues with expansion. If anything, we're helping PIT with that. Murray would maybe cost Detroit a 2nd by himself, not with a cap dump tied to his hip.

You would need to add a nice pick or prospect to Bjugstad if you're trying to move him as a cap dump. Especially when you consider The Jets don't have the room to take on cap dumps.

Nope. Lowry is far better, which you know and is of course why you want him and you're not getting rid of Bjugstad without compensating someone.

JJ is one year in the AHL roughly 2 million in cap, then a buyout at 3.5 million total cost.

Murray is worth more than that. The 2nd fills the gap. I't fair value.

I don't know how I feel about the trade to be honest though.

Howard is 37 it's clearly time for DET to move on. They do need a goalie.
But whoever goes there is going to look bad behind that defense. And the fans will never stop complaining about that. I don't think it's really possible for anyone walking into that situation to get a fair shake

LMFAO he had 10 points this year and is older. Hard pass. Lowry doesn’t touch McCann. That’s a downgrade pens don’t need.

McCann also was a healthy scratch for Lafferty which to be frank wasnt a good look and seems like he is in the inescapable Sullivan Dog house. Not to mention McCann is more of a winger then a center. Center is the position of need for the team. Having said all of this yeah I would agree McCann holds more value than Lowry. Throw in Bjugstad because again, Winnipeg values size and he is on the last year of his deal and he is probably a bit less then Lowry hence the "Add a pick going back" portion of this.

No chance of getting a 2nd for rebounds Murray and JJ albatross contract. Pens add another piece like hallander and most you get back is a 4th next year. Otherwise you can keep 3 goalies and the worst dman in the league

You are probably right about McCann value being lowered after the scratch but I still have no interest in this trade.

Sullivan has really bad player management it’s frustrating. He healthy scratched Ian Cole when he’s a top 4 D. Healthy scratched McCann when he’s a top 9 forward. Like you said, once you’re in Sullivan’s dog house, you’re not gonna get out. He has his favourites that’s forsure

I'll give you that 2nd if you throw McCann in to the deal.
