If an Habs scout said that our pick should be Guhle, he shoud get fired immediately. We already have 4 futur top4 LD (Struble, Romanov, Norlinder and Harris)

Many Habs scout wanted to draft a skating LHD when MTL was projected to pick around 9th with Jake Sanderson a skating defenceman, So I just took the next best skating defenceman LHD in Guhle

Is Anaheim really looking at Perfetti? I understand that Grans pick though, heard Anaheim is really high on him.

I wasn't against drafting Sanderson myself, but there's a reason behind it. I project Sanderson as a top2 LDman, which is a need for the Habs. Guhle will definetly never be a top2 dman. After, Sanderson will maybe become one of the best shut-down dman in the league, after a few years, which fits Habs' defensive style of play really great. Guhle is a more physical guy who moves the puck great, which is the same type of player than Romanov or Struble.

If the top15 goes as in your mock, Habs should target Reichel, Lapierre or Perreault.

Why not, out of curiosity? I get that Sens fans want Byfield (which I've been vocal about thinking the Kings won't let Byfield slip past them), but Stutzle is a great consolation prize.

Is it the fact that you're taking a D at 5 instead of another forward? To me, the quality of forwards available at that 3rd Ottawa pick are greater than the quality of defensemen, whereas its a toss-up at the #5 pick between Drysdale and the other forwards. Seems like smart drafting to me. But that's the outside view from a fan of a different team.

Respectfully I disagree on Sanderson - I believe he is overrated- tell me what top forwards he has played against in a watered down usdp schedule? The ushl teams they play against and the limited ncaa college teams are not exactly hockey hotbeds
If the Habs were to pick a d man as their first pick, I would prefer RHD Braden Schneider.
I agree with you Reichel, Zary or Perrault would be better picks to enhance our scoring - we can pick up D at picks 44,45

Cuz I think Stutzle is a winger and this leaves us without a 1C. So Stutzle and Rossi or Byfield and Raymond/Drysdale
