Agreed. So in this scenario, cozens is our #2 center, which means he will probably need 80% offensive zone starts just to stay out of the wood chipper. That also leaves johan larsson and zemgus girgensons, who are both ufas mind you, as 2/3 of our 3rd line, so they will of course contribute no offense and get the 80% d zone starts. This also puts simmonds back on the team for some reason, and puts casey mittelstadt at 4th line center in the nhl, which would be wrong for about 3 reasons. We need help up front, we could use a hand at lhd, but dahlin has added 20 pounds in 4 months and probably will start to see 25 minutes a game this coming year. If thats the cost, theres no way we can pay it.

Quick edit- skinner should bounce back with an actual center, and kahun might be a nice find, but skinner is a notorious floater on the back check, maybe hes not the best choice on the wing with cozens.

quite literally no chance BUF does this trade. Jason Botterills O'Reilly trade is clearly one of the worst trades in their history, but the Sergachev trade you proposed would blow that away by a country kilometer.
