Nope no pressing cap need to do this. we can carry a 2 mil hit in the AHL. No problem.

I want JJ gone as much as the next guy but attaching that nice of an asset just isn't worth it. Very worried JR may disagree though.

I think an early 2nd is more than enough to get rid of JJ. His cap hit isn’t that bad.

It's not just the cap hit. His contract has 3 more years left on it. Plus dumping Bjugstad won't come free.

Bjugstad isn’t really a dump. He’s still a decent player, unlike Johnson.

He's a decent player but he isn't worth his 4.1M cap hit

The best way for pens to move JJ is through McCann as a sweetener. Similar to Zaitsev and Brown trade

Ottawa took your scraps Zaitsev for an inferior player in Brown. The deal makes a whole lot of sense for a rebuilding teams perspective

Marleau uh had a 35+ contract meaning he's impossible to buyout while having savings.

He talks up JJ all the time, I can't see him tossing in the towel and paying someone to take him
