Anybody wanting Lindholm or Andersson off the Flames is grasping at straws. IMO even if the Flames were to lose 3 straight games and blow the roster sky high this off season, they would still keep those two.

yes I am a flames fan too. But Matthews? A top 10 centre and soon to be a top 5. Sure he is one of the only Flames RH defenseman under contract and that is young. That doesn't mean your gonna sell him as high as Matthews. The only player I would sell for Matthews is Tkachuk and E.Lindholm. I would trade Andersson for Nylander and Liljegren. If you do that trade, you could just go out and get a decent defenseman

Do you even read? I never said Andersson was worth Matthews. I would never trade Andersson for Nylander and Liljegren. Lily will not be nearly as good as Andersson and Flames definitely don't need a Nylander type player

Did you even read what I said? I said you shouldn't sell him as high as Matthews. I'm pretty sure if you made that trade (which Toronto wouldn't) you could just flip Nylander for Pesce who is better. You also get Liljegren. Liljegren could probably be a top 4 defense man if he develops right. I probably wouldn't trade Andersson for Marner because of his high cap hit though. I don't know why your selling that high on Andersson. Leafs aren't even in the same conference.

I'm not selling him as high as Matthews, The main piece going the other way would be Tkachuk or Lindholm in a deal for Matthews. I am very certain Nylander cannot be flipped for Pesce due to their RD contract issues. The point I'm making is hes not on the block for wingers Calgary doesn't need.
