Leafs need cap relief if they make playoffs they get the second upgraded to the 1st and get a defensive help. Weegar isn’t being trade he part of the core.

Outside of Ekblad, Leafs aren't interested in any of Florida's terrible defence.

I sometimes wonder if people actually think Nylander is worth what some guys would pay for him here. They live in a different world

This trade is closer of getting you Michel Nylander who retried 5 years ago than William

While you're trading Michael Matheson for William Nylander, you should trade Sergei Bobrovsky for John Gibson and Frank Vatrano for Colton Parayko

Your overvaluing nylander who had one break out year in 5 years adding Borgstrom could sweetened the deal in 5 season he had on good year I think giving a 1st Matheson who has a high ceiling is better half your Toronto defense should be Good enough to get the deal done.
