MacArthur at 4.625m a year for 4 years? Yea I know he injured last year but Girardi for MacArthur is more reasonable. Stoner for MacArthur.
Welcome back Zbaddest. Where have you been?

I swear it's either you overrating your team, or it's 2 people who think this is fair value coming on here. There's no way you'll get close to that. If you simply stated that you wish that's all it'll take to get those packages, then whatever. But you make it seem like it'll happen and anyone who disagrees with you is an infidel.

Take a closer look at Malkins contract, final 2 years are absurd.

What do you do in 2017-18 when you only have 15 players signed and only have 5-6 million left in cap space. Plus Ottawa is broke AF!

Lmaoo, this move is to ensure they win the cup this season. Besides, the year after, Ryan, Methot, and Anderson can all get traded to make room for Malkin's contract and Benn's new extension. Ottawa has a ton of prospects that can take their places.

Not a chance that Ryan, Methot and Anderson could be traded without taking big money back.

I got to admit Zbaddest.

Every time i see your teams I say to myself "Don't do it, he's just busting your balls. You're only doing this to yourself!" and I've come to the conclusion that you are a drug. I hate what you've done to me and I don't want to do it anymore but I'm addicted to you. I can't look away. Even when i have the chance to, i think to myself "why not? it can't possibly be that bad again can't it? I deserve this.Let's see what eh has to say"

Seeing these Ottawa trades give me a thrill every time but i know deep down, your trolling is killing me. So I've decided from this day going forward that I'm done with your posts. I'm not going to click anymore and with some strong will and perseverance, I will defeat you.

awesome face

You say these are realistic, and that's where I'll disagree.

Firstly, the Sens will never trade Karlsson. Never. He's the face of the franchise. And the Dallas Stars will never trade Jamie Benn. Never. He's also the face of the franchise (with Tyler Seguin). That completely eliminates the realism of the first trade, without even looking at value.

The second trade could make sense, as Pittsburgh downgrades their second line centre to someone still really good for an upgrade on defense, without either team swapping salary.

But if Pittsburgh's trying to upgrade on defense and willing to trade Malkin to do it, there will definitely be a better deal on the table than for Phaneuf.

Same thing with the final trade. If Anaheim is willing to trade Vatanen, there will surely be a better deal on the table than an overpayed aging winger with a couple spare parts. Young defensemen are at a premium, which inflates their value.

So to acquire Vatanen you'd be in a bidding war for a player with an already inflated price tag. Good luck trying to make that deal go through.

I know you like to say (I'm pretty sure it's you) that it's a good trade if our team looks better, which is definitely true. But the goal isn't to be the winner in the trade, but for BOTH teams to be winners. That's why trading exists. So keep that in mind.

Gretzky. Karlsson's great, but Gretzky's the greatest.
