All would be good picks. My dark horse picks are Perreault, Bourque, Amirov, Mysak and Gunler.

I like the Greiss signing as a backup we would finally have 1 besides Primeau with a sv% above .900 but i think a goal scorer has to be added to the forwards before we can do anything

I think Caufield will be that guy once Tatar leaves. I agree this team is missing that elite scorer. Can’t believe Caufield fell to us for real. He could be that guy for us.

I agree Caufield will most likely be that guy but it would be nice to sign a FA that can score like hoffman (just an example of an FA who can score) so we have some scoring in the top 6 from more than 1 guy

The problem with Hoffman is he’s only good to score goal on the PP. He’s bad defensively, etc. Not the type of player coaches likes, but we do need a goal scorer on the PP.

Nah Hall can snip it big time, but he’ll cost 9.5M with 6-7 years ... but he would change the dynamic

I dont think Hall is a good idea in the long run we'd lose someone big when we have to resign Domi Gally Danault KK Suzuki Romanov and all our other young guys within 3 years

I am not sure. It happens that teams do very well in the regular season, but struggle in the postseason or vis versa. I think the Habs can upset someone in playoff hockey, but are not good enough to actually make them

I wouldn't put too much stock into what happens in these playoffs. Yes, I think whoever wins has earned it (regardless of the team, and where they were prior to the playoffs), but I also don't think we can discount the fact that, in this particular case, this team was 10 points back of a playoff spot with 10 games remaining when the season ended (when we're looking forward at next year). Banking on everyone developing properly that's supposed to, and nobody regressing is a fool's game.

Mercer is listed as a RW and Holloway can be shifted to wing. I’ve always believed in drafting BPA unless you have a dying need. Holloway isn’t my ideal pick, but I’d be glad to have him on the squad. He can play LW, C and RW which makes him very versatile.

Weber, Petry and Price aren’t that old and I don’t see them regressing next year. If they were older, I would be inclined to agree, but our team is pretty young overall and, while I do see at least a couple of players playing worse (mainly Kulak and maybe one of our bottom 6 wingers that isn’t named Arturri Lehkonen). I’m just banking on KK and Zuke’s development tbh.

Yeah, if Bergevin doesn't do anything stupid, the long term outlook for the team is pretty solid. Weber is 35 though-I'm 33 and wake up feeling like I got hit by a bus every morning. That's without all of the surgeries and beating that beautiful ba$tard has taken tears of joy

Bergevin isn’t really as bad as people say tbh. Apart from the Drouin and Alzner moves, he’s been really good since 2016. I think he’s learned his lesson on trading young top prospects (like Sergachev). At least he drafted Romanov, who is possibly making the team.

Mercer shifted to center in November, CF is just notoriously bad at updating player positions. I do agree they should choose the BPA though. I think a big physical player would be ideal for them

Just my opinion, but I would like to see them take a swing at Gunler, Lapierre, Perreault, or Guhle (in no particular order). It'll be interesting to see what happens regardless: No matter what, good players would be available between 16-25 smile

Anyway, it’s way easier to shift a center to wing than vice-versa.
