Ah the Oilers trade, you will have to throw in Caulfield if you want that package, We think the same of Jesse as you do of Caulfield.

Couple of things…

1) Habs have no need for Barzal, especially at that price. You have Kotkaniemi and Suzuki as your number 1 and 2, get used to it. Habs don't need a small inconsistent center making over 10M.
2) Completely ridiculous for Habs to give up a 20 year old defenseman in Fleury and a 2nd round pick just to dump Alzner. They have the cap space so just burry him in the minors.
3) Overvaluing Fowler by a lot. Petry in my opinion is a better more consistant defenseman than Fowler. On top of that you want to give them Danault, Poehling and a 2nd. Have you been smoking. I woudn't even trade Danault one for one for Fowler.
4) The only decent trade is the Edmonton one. If Puljujarvi doesn't resign with the Oilers, I can see them trading him, but Habs will need to add, Maybe Puljujarvi + 2020 1st round pick for Tatar + 2020 3rd round pick.

Problem is Puljujarvi doesn't want to play for your team, Caufield want to play for Habs badly. A player that has no interest in playing for you is worth zero to your organization

The only Barzal trades that make any sense would be for an Eichel, McDavid or Matthews type player... not Domi and I don’t see that happening anytime. So I expect the islanders to just sign Barzal for whatever.

And if we want to go pure fantasy land: KK, Suzuki, Caulfield, and 2 1st's is the real cost. Might actually listen.

It’s funny how the people say he’s worthless are also the ones constantly trying to get him. It’s extremely simple if your not willing to pay to get him stop trying.... even in the event he chooses not to return to Edmonton that doesn’t hurt his trade value. It’s called supply and demand nearly every team would be calling if he was actually on the market.
