McCann's RFA compensation would most likely be a 2nd round pick, and his trade value would be in that ballpark. A 4th + 7th isn't enough.

He already did that this season, he’s ready for an increased role. He led all isles D in almost every shot suppression metric and he was the 2nd best offensively, only D that was better at driving play was Devon toews.

First off, it's just my opinion and people could say he's great and undervalued I personally just don't agree with that. Second off, he's still young and has potential it's just I think that he's a bottom pairing dman in St. Louis.

The Blues don;t do that top 4, bottom pairing crap. They do specific pairings based on fit. Nobody is ever going to confuse Scandella or Gunnarsson as being better than Dunn, but they generally play with Parayko and Petro because of chemistry.

Anyway, you forgot to factor in that "bottom pairing" on the Blues is equal to top pairing on the Oilers.
