Anderson will not be brought back at the age of 39. Georgiev is by far the smartest option for a young team that is still in the midst of a rebuild. Georgiev is a fringe starter who has the potential to be a runaway starting goalie for them as Högberg struggled for them and is absolutely not ready to start.
In regards to Brown, he isn't even ready for the NHL yet. He still needs one more good season in the AHL as he showed great progress this season with 28-points in 25-games. Alex Formenton, Josh Norris & Drake Batherson are all ahead of him in the depth chart. You could even make the case Vitaly Abramov is ahead of him right now as well. 25 games is too small a sample size to have the mindset that he's ready to play 15 minutes a night in the NHL. Ottawa's biggest question mark heading into 2020-21 is in fact goaltending.
Ah this makes much more sense. It's clear now you don't watch the Sens very much. That gives better context to the trade. I'm a Sens fan, so I can help out with some background!
Sens goaltending next year is Anders Nilsson and Marcus Hogberg, easy. Nilsson was great when healthy, but did admittedly struggle with injuries. Hogberg was fantastic for the Sens, actually, but had to play behind an abysmal defense and so his numbers don't entirely reflect it. Anybody who watched even a single game could attest to that. He's ready to be backup and is expected to push for a 1B position as the season moves on. All Sens fans are fully comfortable with that tandem, as is the organization. Beyond that, they have Filip Gustavsson and Joey Daccord, who both lead one of the top teams in the AHL. Their save percentages weren't spectacular but they put up great wins and the Sens will need to know what they have in them very soon as they're both eligible for Seattle. They'll be tried out as backups throughout the year. Georgiev is not a need.
In regards to Brown, he is ready for the NHL. He needs no more AHL time as he showed he was ready at the NHL level with 8 in 23 on the 4th line with 12 minutes a game. Drake Batherson is the only player ahead of him in the depth chart, and he's a winger, not a center. That's further backed up by the fact that Formenton played 0 NHL games, Norris played 3, Abramov played 2, Batherson played 23, and Brown played 23. The organization agrees which is why he was given the chance ahead of everybody else. He's widely considered as the one who had the best NHL showing of the bunch as he had the most well rounded performance this year. He's got nothing left to prove at the AHL level and is expected to make the NHL team next year. He is projected to play within the top 9 and only has to beat out Chris Tierney or Colin White for a top 6 spot. He's not at all on the trading block for a backup goaltender with a chance to solve a need the Sens don't need to fill. But it's easy to get him mixed up with all the prospects the Sens have.

They already expressed interest in the possibility of moving him this past trade deadline, everyone knows this. He's their 4th best prospect as far as I'm concerned and they've expressed interest in Gerogiev already. He's either going to Ottawa, San Jose or Detroit. Ottawa makes the most sense.
They've never expressed interest in Georgiev. No need to spread false rumours to peddle a bad trade. Brown is the Sens 2nd best forward prospect, 3rd at worst if you're particularly obsessed with Norris, and an important piece. He's not getting traded.
Hope that helps!
