Yeah I highly doubt Wings owner wants to shell out 2M for a 3rd rd pick (likely a late 3rd at that) in two years.

$2M for a late 3rd round pick isn't going to cut it for the Wings to accept this trade.

You do realize the Wings have had multiple 2nd or 3rd round picks the last few years (2019= 4, 2018=5, 2017=5): now add in the 5 they have in 2020 and it becomes obvious that they need higher selections...not more late 3rd rounds.

As far as Mikheyev, the offer sheets could simply be thrown to hurt Toronto and make them sign him to a slightly higher deal than Toronto will want to pay but feel they have to match because the pick compensation is simply not enough (for example $2,113,715 or a 3rd rounder).
