Sell, sell, sell. Grab some strong forward and LD prospects with those early picks. Build for the future; even though Suter and Parise won't be around anymore when MIN is ready, there will still be some good pieces to build around.

Dubnyk was awful this year so your not going to get anything back for him, especially with his cap hit

Let’s make this a take 3 because Detroit isn’t spending futures on goalies with this FA market. Let alone that potential second rounder could be 32OV next year and you can’t add stipulations based on players signing per the new CBA.

No matter what the trade is, the Leafs are not giving away another first round pick. They need to add someone to their prospect pool. They have no one other than Robertson and Liljegren, assuming Sandin is fully developed

Is Koivu a Top 6 Center? If the answer isn’t a yes Columbus isn’t interested in this trade.

Are you sure about that? Dubas seems to think very little of 1st round picks, considering he's traded both of ours since he became GM.

We could retain 50%. He's just a year removed from being a solid goalie, hence why his price is lower than I wanted it to be. I was just hoping to get something out of Dubnyk; if we get that desperate, we can bury him in the minors.

Perhaps surprisingly, Brodin prefers the right side despite shooting lefty! He converted to the left side in 2015-16 to play with Dumba, and I could totally see him switching back to the right with a new team.

I did not know that, actually. Still, if DET doesn't get Crawford or someone like that, I could see this happening as a stopgap. Maybe have a FA signing split time with Dubnyk until Fulcher/Petruzzelli are ready.

They'd be smart to hold onto the 1st for sure, but I could still see this happening given how they have dealt them willy-nilly as of recently. Still, maybe they have learned their lesson.

He can still play 2C in a pinch; he had an unlucky season. The idea was for CBJ to plug their eternal 2C hole while giving Koivu one last shot at the Cup. They also have a ridiculous surplus of D, especially considering how Gavrikov and Kukan broke out this year; Peeke and Carlsson are not far behind, either.
