Only one I see as being a decent/okay deal would be Ottawa. All of the others don’t touch it.

Bergevin isn't that bad of a GM, there's no way he accepts this. Maybe Tony D + a prospect + a pick could get you Danault. Buchnievich alone is worth as much as Sergachev imo, there's no need for that first.

Rangers add 1st overall pick, Habs add Tatar, Domi, Poehling and Mete and their 1st rounder.

Not even that one. Goaltending isn't a priority need for the Sens right now, especially at the cost of bad contracts and draft capital. They've got two NHL goaltenders they're happy to roll with, and 4 in the system that they like. They're not in the position to be moving these picks for assets that aren't fully established yet. It's a common trade that Rangers fans like to use but every single time without fail they're told that there's no interest on the Sens end. Works fine for a second... until the next trade thread pops up with the exact same thing.

The trade may not make sense for Ottawa but I’m talking in terms of value.

What makes Sergachev worth so much more than Buch?

The fact he’s a young (just turned 22) top 4 defenseman with top pairing potential. Centers and defenseman > wingers everyday.

https://imgur.com/eMEQMgI. take a look at their respective RAPM charts. Buchnievich is also only 25 and just entering his prime. I agree that defenseman have more value than wingers but Buch is just a better player, and his value is equal to, if not more than Sergachev's.

So because Buch’s GFx60 and Corsi were higher playing with some combination of Zibanejad, Kreider, and Panarin he’s a better player than Sergachev who commonly played with Coburn, Shattenkirk, and Bogosian. Those charts don’t mean anything without context. Those same charts made Brendan Smith looks better than Drew Doughty 5-7 years ago. Buch is a fine player (I’m not debating that) but he’s a second liner ideally and those guys don’t pull top 4 defensemen at age 22 with top pairing potential. Prime curves are interesting as elite forwards I’d wager hit their primes in early 20s while defensemen I’d say mid 20s.

those metrics isolate the player, and if you take a look, Buchnievich's numbers are better than both Kreider and Zibanejad for this year.
