There isn't a 100% chance that the Leafs sign Petro anyway, so it could still be McNabb and Dugan for Nylander and Dermott. Vegas definitely needs to add big time, maybe Krebs/Glass

that doesn't matter. You're not getting fair value for your players. If you need to clear space for Petro, fine, but that doesn't mean you decide to forfeit value that could be made up in high end picks and prospects, or in this case, both.

If he leaves St. Louis I don't see why he wouldn't come home.

Do I think he'll leave STL? Probably not. At this point, is it unreasonable to think that he'll test the waters? I don't think so at all. I absolutely think that the Leafs have a shot if they can make it work. Certainly not a likely outcome, but everyone scoffed at the idea of Tavares leaving NYI and coming home. I'd say 80% chance he stays, and I think of that remaining 20%, the leafs are a top 3 suitor for him
