the better way to do this would be to trade a big contract like Nylander after a successful offer sheet of Pulock. At 7 mil a year it would be hard for the Isles to match.

guys like Ho Sang, Bracco, Barabanov etc can battle out for the third line spot. One of them will step up in camp. Thornton is from Ontario and is in a similar spot to Spezza last year. He has made plenty of money in his career and now he wants a shot at the cup playing in his home province.
