I don’t think that trade would be worth it for Columbus. They’re not gonna give up that much for Gaudreau. I think it’d be counterproductive for them. And he’s expensive considering they gotta resign PLD, not to mention saving room for extensions for Werenski and Jones in two years.

That’s what I’m saying. I really like Foudy’s game and I don’t think that trade would be worth it.

It probably isnt since they are already thin on prospects. But Gaudreau is still an insanely skilled player on a great deal, when was the last time a player of his caliber and term was traded. EK65 is probably a good example but Johnny has another year. Imo there isnt really a trade to be made here

I get that, but as you mentioned they kinda need to keep restocking the cupboards by keeping their picks and building up their prospect pool again because of some of the moves they’ve made in the past couple of years.

I was merely stating the price of a superstar caliber player with term on a cheap deal. The ask isn't unreasonable its that Columbus cant afford it. A 9-5 job usually cant afford to buy a Ferrari flat out.
