Marino doesn't go anywhere unless a superstar comes back at this point..

He is already being named Letang's heir. He takes over some PP abd PK duty already. He made guys like JJ look like above average NHL dmen early in the season. The guy is IT for the Pens.

He isn't going to score 30 goals, but he does all of the little things right. He has a good shot from the point, not fantastic, and he has a knack for making the right play in the offensive zone. Knows when to pinch, when to dump, when to pass, etc.

Most of all, in the end of the Crosby, Malkin era, he is cost-controlled and likely will be for the next 5 years or so. Can't put a value that accurately displays that. Like the Preds having Josi in his prime at 4 million for half a decade.

So yeah, bottom line and pairing guys will never net Marino.

To give you an idea of how good he is, he's the only player to the Penguins to ever achieve decent results while being paired with Jack Johnson.

Team thinks he's a future number 1 D.

There are four players on your roster I would consider trading Marino for, the rest are complete non starters. He's the Pens' future 1D and he's on an ELC. Nothing you can give outside of your core players would help the Pens get closer to a cup next year or into the foreseeable future than Marino will. Our window is now so there's just no chance he moves without an overpay

But in all seriousness wish you the best at finding your own Marino, he is everything the Leafs need and I personally would like to see Matthews win one before he bolts for Arizona
