“He loves it there and they love him.” I wouldn’t go that far. He’s one of the most hated leafs due to his contract dispute and horrible season.

No, only to idiots but I was talking about the team and Nylander. The most vocal fans aren't the common opinion. Contrary to popular belief team decisions aren't made by the fanbase.

My point is that the option to trade Nylander is there. Even though I agree, he’s likely not going anywhere.

Agree with everything you're saying in that he's a star and he does like Toronto and is liked by the more intelligent fans. I don't have a problem trading him. Parayko would be a major acquisition for this team though. He's everything we need on defence, and has chemistry from playing on a pairing with Rielly in the World Cup, in which that pairing really stood out. Barbashev gets you another C option who's more than capable of 3C. As tough as it is to trade him, the return is very beneficial
