I like the New York trade. The Tampa trade is palatable. I'd prefer to keep Dumba and the pick personally. The Washington trade doesn't have enough value going to Washington, and I would think they're not interested in trading Kuznetsov while their window with Ovechkin/Backstrom is still open.

Rangers don't do that trade because they don't really need the cap space this year and it is only a 1 year deal and they don't really have a need whatsoever for Greenway. Also, Staal has a NMC and I doubt he'll waive it to join the Wild.

I don’t Dumba for Sergachev makes us better and I don’t think this trade is the way to bring him in, should we actually want him. Moving Dumba for a 1st and a prospect puts us in a better position if we ending up putting an offer sheet out. I like the idea of moving Greenway for a first, but I agree with the above that NYR doesn’t really need to move Staal unless things really change for them.

As a Caps fan I'm not super against it. It would have to come with a good Brodin extension and some type of plan to go without Kuz.

If Staal ok's it, Rangers say YES. Greenway would be a great addition.
