A huge trend in hockey is you need depth to win series in the playoffs. Last year all the teams that made conference finals weren't paying anyone more than 8 mil a piece. Y'all hate the Matthews trade and he is a phenomenal player but you can't tell me he looks like he cares every time he is on the ice which leads to a bad locker room mentality. The leafs today have the raw skill to win the cup but they don't and a lot of that is the mentality and a lack of depth this armchair GM addresses that
