Pietrangelo vs Parayko - Both

Created by: tstrauss16
Team: 2020-21 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 30, 2020
Published: Aug. 30, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Only trades this offseason would be Allen and Bozak.

When Tarasenko starts getting better, Blues can trade Gunnarsson and Steen (retained for $1,500,000) for late picks in the draft to teams who need depth from injuries, or mid-season struggles. This will help Blues be under Cap when Tarasenko comes back.

Mock Trades:
STL - LAK
Gunnarsson for LAK 5th Round 2021

STL - FLA
Steen ($1,500,000 retained) for FLA 7th Round 2021

Roster when Tarasenko returns

Schwartz -- O'Reilly -- Perron
Schenn -- Thomas -- Tarasenko
Bennett -- Sundqvist -- Kyrou
Sanford -- Barbashev -- Blais
Faulk -- Pietrangelo
Dunn -- Parayko
Scandella -- Bortuzzo

Elliott
S - Kostin
S - MacEachern
S - Mikkola

Bozak doesn’t waive. And Buffalo declines too high of a cap hit.

Well, I'd certainly accept all that (edit: except signing Elliott), but the Flames won't.

As a Sharks fan, just curious, are you guys all in on Binnington, or 1 have to trade Allen for cap relief to resign Pietrangelo, 2 are just stuck w/ him, like we are M.Jones?

You are likely correct, but it's a moot point anyway. No way EVER Bozak would waive his NTC to go to the tire fire in Buffalo. When he signed with the Blues a couple of years ago, he clearly stated it was so that he had a chance to win a Cup. Buffalo couldn't do that even with the great Dominik Hasek in net.

Florida or New York would be two spots Bozak could flourish and at least have a chance to play in the playoffs. What did you have Florida sending back for Bozak?

Blues probably take it if Bozak allows it.
