I want Tatar in Edmonton but your asking for two assets the team isn’t going to move.

But are they going to die with JP not playing for them or what?

Puljujarvi is coming back ok? He’s not trading him.

No they fully intend on his return next season.

The problem with the Oilers trade isn't JP, it's Broberg

Switch him out with a 2021 1st and I would say yes

Hasn't JP signed an extension in Europe?

Like many other prospects signed with an out clause to get playing sooner since the nhl will be a late start and a lot of uncertainly how the nhl would be played out. I think the oilers alone have 2 regulars loaned over seas Nygård and haas and several prospects loaned as well. Not much to look into about his current deal over seas.

Why is Tatar bringing in a #4 and #8 overall pick and Gaudreau gets what projects to be a mid 1st and a 2nd liner

Because the #4 pick doesn't hold value if the player falls on his face...

Also, Domi is the only piece guaranteed to be anything, yet you are pretending he has the least value... Most teams would be pretty happy getting a 2C with 8-20 draft pick (depending on the year of the draft and center prospects available).

Domi has the 2nd most value of the 4 assets, but I’d argue Broberg has the most (seems like he has top pairing upside, he’s been very good everywhere so far) and JP is probably equivalent to the mid-1st rn, but with higher upside as well. So it’s still somehow a better return for 1 year of a 29yo that’s broken 60 pts exactly once, than 2 years of a 27yo that has literally never been on pace for less than 65 pts and can push 100. We are not happy with this return for Gaudreau in the slightest. You’re at least Suzuki short, and stop telling me you’re not trading him because if you’re not trading him or KK you’re not getting close to Gaudreau, we aren’t selling him for a significant downgrade and a prayer. That’s not how trades for established stars go. If it doesn’t make sense for your rebuild (it doesn’t btw just saying) that’s fine but then you don’t get him.

Then its not happening. No big deal. But if a team is actively shopping a player, they aren't getting any teams "Kotkaniemi or Suzuki", not just from Montreal. My value might be off, but its not that far off.

Gaudreau is not getting actively shopped lol, I haven’t seen any insider reports of that. It’s literally just a few angry Flames fans on twitter saying burn everything down and some articles about what he’s worth if he is moved

Huge overvaluing of Danault. He's alright, but is basically Bryan Little with less offense. Winnipeg would say no.

Less offense? Little has had 1 higher point total than Danault has. Also, Danault is better defensively. You may not like the trade, but the value is there.

Over their careers Little averages 51 points a season with 2C minutes and most Jet fans think Little is a terrible 2C option because he doesn't score enough. Danault only averages 42 points a season with 1C minutes. It's not that he's bad, he's just not an ideal 2C.

Either way though, Danault doesn't have the value to net Ehlers in return.
