Mayfield for four spare parts -- one of which is unlikely to come to anything before the 2025-2026 season (the third), one of whom couldn't stick with BUFFALO, and one of whom couldn't stick with Florida?

This is horribly wrong. 30th in SV% last year for all goalies with 25 games played. Was he overworked. Yeah, but still no excuse. He also lets up a lot of soft goals in meaningful moments. A 2nd round pick is probably what to expect. Its what Lehner got at the TDL and he's actually a top 10 goalie in the league...

check the stats...
In 7 seasons, 3 in Anaheim and 4 in Toronto. He has posted a .917 save percentage. for a team that has absolutely horrendous defence and very bad consistency that is very good. In the playoffs he has a .916. This years “playoffs” he had a .936 and a .971 in a loss in game 1. he carries the team and keeps them in games they shouldn’t be.

and since you want to compare him to Lehner... lehner in these playoffs has been far more inconsistent. one game he had a .863 and the next had a 1.000. lehners career save percentage is .918. in other words very similar in 68 less games.

Dude, pick a lane. You want to compare Lehner's....GAME BY GAME stats...and somehow in the same exact post just completely ignore an entire year of Freddie's and go career numbers. Crazy how your mind works.

No one said Freddie is a bad goalie. Hes just not a top 10. He's likely not even top 15. BUT the best thing he has going for him is that he'll cost only $1M. Don't sell that short. Thats huge in this covid environment. TOR should be asking OTT what they'll give. They need a goalie and Melnyk is going to Melnyk like hebusually does.

I can guarantee they do not HAVE to give up Pesce when there’s better goalies in free agency

Read the title. Toronto will want Pesce in return.

Of course they would. Just like anytime you trade of bargain you start high and work your way down. I wanna sell Tickets to my live music performances for $1000 a piece but I only get around $5-10 a person

did freddie have a down year? yes, there’s no doubt about that. but he still had a .909 and on a team as inconsistent as the Leafs were this year that is still pretty good.

I guarantee if Freddie was on a team like Boston or Carolina or anybody with good defense and he easily puts up better numbers than Lehner.

But TOR's defense was better than the Hawks. Single worst team for shots against and 2nd worst for high danger shots against...thats why people know Lehner and Crow are REALLY good.

He had a .936 save percentage in the playoffs on a team that has bad defence and they didn't have Muzzin that series.

Then why do leafs fans want to trade him lol. Cut the receny bias out. He's just about to turn 31 and had a .909 save % in the regular season

31 years old and had a .909 save % in the reg season. And don't give me the crap about his 5 playoffs being better. There's a reason every leafs fan wants him gone

one bad season... Leafs fans overreact about everything. Andersen isn’t the issue. put a better team in front of him and he puts up maybe Vezina numbers.

The point is no one is giving up Pesce type value for a guy who is 31 and just had one of the worst years of his career. Tor might be able to get peace, but they definitely add something significant to that deal
