There is likely nothing that you would be willing to give up that the Kings would consider accepting for Matt Roy. They need an upgrade at top six or a way into the late 1st round. Short of that, the Kings are better off keeping Roy.

Although I'm confused why you would trade for Roy and play him on the left. The main thing that he has going for him is that he's a RHD.

That might be the worst defensive left side I've ever seen.

There's very little point to a team post where you just wave a magic wand, declare that X, Y and Z are traded, bury their cap hits and then show a 20-man roster that is $7.7 million over the cap.

I said it was off the beaten track. I really do like these players (Nichuskin, Nosek and Roy) better than who I am willing to give up to get them. I think Trouba is too expensive. Hopefully, I'm wrong, because we will probably keep him.

HI, I had stated some assumptions in the Team Explanation: Here it is again: Assumes Lundqvist retires. Trouba, Lemieux, Howden traded. Staal, Smith traded or bought out. Details TBD. Pietrangelo mentors Miller and other young Ds. Kravtsov plays in KHL or is traded. I acknowledge that I have not identified trade partners, but I feel we have significant collateral that we could pull at least some of these trades off. Overlooked that Matt Roy was RD. Two LDs I really like are Jonas Brodin (Wild) or Vince Dunn (Bues). Does anyone know if we must offer 1st round 2021 pick for Nichushkin or if we can use our 2020 Carolina pick? Thanks.
