I wouldn't trade Juolevi, it also makes more sense to trade Beagle instead of Sutter

They don't need to move Sutter, he only has 1 year left

I personally would keep beagle > sutter just cause he still very solid in faceoff. But i can understand , trading beagle is MUCH more beneficial than trading sutter

Would you think devil would take beagle who has 2 more years instead of Sutter ? Cause i wouldn't mind that at all

Vancouver loses on both trades. Markstrom signs before you put the contract down. 5 years? geez long time for a 30 year old goalie

You don't have much money to resign Hughes and Pettersson.

But to fit our cap for next year , I feel Sutter would be easier to trade ?

Or would you think its smarter to find a trade to ship out rousell , beagle , myers , eriksson ? What you think would be some ADDS on our end to package any of those contracts ?

I do think its too long of a contract , but bargaining power is with Markstrom ... plus i do think he would by 3rd ish year of that contract switch to a mentor role

In regards to no money to sign Petey and Hughes , i do agree it will be real tight ... hopefully Benning can work a deal with Seattle for Erikkson or Myers ... just cause Vancouver is close by to Seattle , maybe that would be a perk for Myers or Erikkson to not have Seattle in their M-NTC. If we are able to do that , we can afford 18 million for both Petey and Hughes (hoping that is enough for both)

Trades look realistic. What is Virtanen's RFA deal gonna look like?

I think your premise is wrong. Their best players (Hughes and Pettersson) are young. They don't need to compete for a cup next year with guys like Tanev, Taffoli that will not get better. Save your powder and give Hughes and Pettersson the pieces that they will need to compete for a cup for as long as possible. Instead of Tanev, target Cernak. Instead of Taffoli, let Podkolzin take that spot. Try to resign Markstrom, but not > 3 years.

I think you should be moving contracts that expire past next year.
Sutter isn't a priority
Myers is probably impossible to move
Eriksson would take a fair bit to move but I thinks it's more than doable and clears the most space out of the viable options
Beagle & Roussel would help you a lot more than than Sutter and Baertschi & they'd be easier to move than Louis & Tyler.
