Can you give me a reason for Minnesota to not only to trade for McCabe, but also give up their 2nd rounder this year to do it?

I'm just thinking they need a depth D man and at a reasonable price

Wayne Simmonds is a UFA and Tage Thompson is just Brett Howden with a better shot. No from NY.

Columbus passes. A fourth-rounder and two "never-was" players is nowhere near enough for Anderson. If you offer sheeted him at $2.5M, you're looking at a second-rounder, so that's the starting price, and it's probably higher than that.

They really don't. Their options for 3rd pairing Dmen (without trades) would be: Soucy, Hunt, Pateryn, Belpedio & Menell. And Addison could get some time towards the end of the year. I don't really think they're too interested in having no 2nd and 3rd round picks because they brought in a 3rd pairing guy they don't need

That doesn't get you Boesser. Jokiharju would need to be one of the pieces coming back. Don't think that will be interesting for you.

How about you get real. You know that nobody other than rutherford values Kap at 15oa. Pit got fleeced and that is not an appropriate comparison

I give you a real world example and you ask me to get real? Of course it’s an appropriate comparison. Both are young wingers under contract. And the deal just happened.

GMs get fleeced all the time. As a Sabres fan, you should be well aware of that.

Its like one outlier isn't a real example? How many people in the hockey world bashed that trade? That is a statistical anomaly. There will be no trades done ever again if that Kap trade is the basis of analyization.
So yes please get real for every Kap trade their is a ROR trade so yes get real.

How is it an anomaly? It’s the latest trade for a skater. Won’t know if it’s an outlier until other trades happen. And no you don’t get Boesser for that
